Heading for a General Election and What to Do About It

September 10, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

It looks increasingly likely that we are heading for an autumn General Election.

This election will be the biggest choice Britain has faced in generations. One one hand are the Tories – who have presided over a decade of devastating austerity, whose incompetence has led to endless chaos over Brexit and who would if re-elected look to sell us out to Donald Trump. On the other, Labour – who under Jeremy Corbyn have put forward an ambitious and visionary set of policies that would tackle the greatest crises of our age, from economic inequality to climate catastrophe.

The choice is clear. The opportunity to fight for and create a better society has arrived.

Want to get involved? Not sure how? Are you just confused by what’s going on? Come down to this special reading group event hosted by Manchester Momentum where we’ll discuss what’s going on & look ahead to our campaign plans.

This will be an open, friendly and accessible meeting – so don’t worry if you’ve never done anything like this before! See you there!
