Poacher by Lenni Sanders (Manchester launch)

Poacher, Lenni Sanders’ debut poetry pamphlet, comes out May 16th with the Emma Press. The poems are about the body, sexuality, and dreams and nightmares.

Lenni Sanders is a writer and performer whose work has previously appeared in The Tangerine, Butcher’s Dog, The Real Story, The Emma Press Anthology of Love, and elsewhere. Lenni’s work has been described as “beguiling and romantic” (TSS Review blog) and “precise and powerful” (Chapter & Verse).

I think the poems in Poacher are eerie, queasy, greasy, and sweet of heart, and I hope you enjoy them! I’ll be selling copies of the pamphlet for £6.50 at my launch on May 28th.

I’ll be reading from Poacher, and there will also be performances and readings by: Jasmine Chatfield, Harry Jelley, and Jack Nicholls.

I’m also doing a craft stall where (if you donate £1 to cover costs please!), you can make a spooky little forest crown of leaves for yourself, and get a bit Erlkönig. We will play music. We can have beers.
