Indifferent MonKeY & Guests

March 22, 2023 @ 7:30 pm - 11:30 pm
£5.00
SKYMOUTH has decided to throw down a bunch of press quotes for INDIFFERENT MONKEY! Is this lazy? SKYMOUTH says not! A night of delight beckons!
???? Track Review ???? Take Faith – IndifferentMonKeY (@indifferentmonkey ) Another great band that I have found late , Indifferent Monkey is Alt-Rock Band that are already winning plaudits for their work. Having been voted Best Band 2022 by @radio_wigwam , 2023 should be a big year for them. So they kick it off with this beauty of a track. The track has a toe-tapping hypnotic beat that really blends well with the sultry passionate vocals,The song is dark with a mysterious undertone that really suits the beautiful tempo and body of the track. When I heard it, I had visions of this black and white setting with the singer in a red dress; the only colour coming through, while serenading a room full of mobsters and gents in suits. A really Beautiful track!!”

“Well now, with a song title like that you have my attention! Based in Morcambe, Lancashire, Indifferentmonkey started releasing music in September 2021 and say they are heavily influenced by: TripHop, Heavy Rock, Funk, Jazz, Electronic and Pop. I can hear a strong Jungle influence in this track too, which makes me more than happy. Bullish, dirty beats are exactly what I order for most Monday mornings and Filthy Dirty delivers. I was taken with this one on my first listen too, gloriously frantic, much like my life most days. Keep em coming please… Indifferentmonkey are: Pippa (vocals), Joe Lowe (Instruments, writer, producer) Jack Willan (drums, percussion, bass and guitar) and Brendan Syson (guitar) and they have gained support from BBC Introducing and KCRW in LA.”

“That was the Brilliant Indifferentmonkey with Space Race”
William Wolstenholme – BBC Introducing Lancs

“indifferentMonKeY have today released their new single titled ‘Space Race’. indifferentMonKeY is a project that has long found it’s sound and everything they release at this point in their careers is a continuous and solid evolution of that sound. Does anything else really need to be said about indifferentMonKeY, at this point? This is one of those bands that you run into when you are looking for something fresh. Something new. Something different, or, indifferent. Go down the rabbit hole with indifferentMonKeY. You won’t want to leave.”

“Love That” “Its great that” Quotes by Sean Mcginty and Rich Dyer (Founder of Highest Point Festival in Lancaster) after plaing our single “Cokehead”.

“That was indifferentmonkey and Naked White Noise” (at around 17 minutes on the BBC Sounds Player).

“That fluid trip hop that indifferentMonKeY is amped and stamped with approval and, in a few ways, veers from the road that indifferentMonKeY has been traveling the last couple years. There is more of a dark groove here. And, if you’ve seen the new Bond film, then you know that there are a lot of changes. And these changes in this music fit that schema. The lends me to the belief that indifferentMonKeY is in a transition. Sitting in that cocoon waiting to hatch as a different entity, same in name only. Could this be true? Pippa really brings a different vibe to the music. And it is good. Lets hope we don’t have to wait five years like we would for a Bond film to find out.”
RYAN MARTIN – Jammerzine
“Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “God or Machine?.””
Jamie Steinberg – Starry Mag – Starry Constellations Magazine
“IndifferentMonkey playlisted on the iconic LA Station KCRW https://www.kcrw.com/
Aaron Byrd – KCRW
“indifferentMonKeY has released the video for the track titled ‘God or Machine?’. A few weeks ago we reviewed the single from indifferentMonKeY and now the video, in my opinion, encapsulates the darkly sensual and introvertedly rhythmic sense of self within the song. Belle’s voice is angelic with a touch of sin and her walk on the beach gives that longing for what once was in this world. Doing that with style is an originality just out of reach from most but firmly in the grasp of indifferentMonKeY. Future funk with a touch of the new reality.”
