GLOVE is the sonic alignment of artists Slosilver and Stephanie Finegan.

Now is the time for Glove. Glove is the time for now. And so, from one sleepy jam, 12 songs were born, fully formed.

We walk into the back room of one pub to see our first band and our minds are blown by Glove – nothing is going to match these two wired women who are oozing art, poetry and a musical brilliance that sets your mind racing and your heart pounding.

Theirs is a stripped down basic sound – rhythm comes from a pounding tom tom played against a bass or in other songs a scratchy guitar. It’s pounding and highly effective – most of the songs are given a running bass line backbone and the minimalistic no wave combination is perfect for the poetry in motion of the vocals that switch between volumes of wild eyed beat poetry and stunningly sung vocal lines.

CHINA MOON are a four-piece from Manchester who blend melancholic melodies with an Eastern flavour. In their own words:

“We’re essentially a bunch of misfits who have come together to create something new.
We don’t particularly have a definitive mission statement, but our attitude towards music is one that doesn’t involve the need to conform or pressure each other into being something we don’t want to be. There’s an appreciation for each other’s ideas and values and how we can all come together to express them together.
We’re inspired by everything from Beirut to Between the Buried and Me, so it’s a hard one. In essence we create dreamy dance-rock-pop with Eastern influences, although I feel like we’re always going to experiment and keep things fresh for ourselves.”

FURROWED BROW “What is furrowed brow? We are some people from places you’ve probably heard of, with cliche influences and an arrangement so familiar that you might puke, but don’t worry we are ready to eat that puke and shit out some delicious music”
