Dead Freedom, Ade Fabola, Tom Long, Nina Fellows (Acoustic Eve)

March 25, 2020 @ 7:30 pm - 11:30 pm

Johnny B, or DEAD FREEDOM is a singer songwriter known for his gruff vocals and solo acoustic guitar work. Having found his feet on the British acoustic circuit and wowed audiences with his sincere and melancholic stylings (drawing comparisons with Springsteen and Joe Cocker), Dead Freedom will be joining us to present the more recent fruits of his long and soulful journey.
ADE FABOLA is a singer-songwriter whose music is characterised by upbeat guitar fingerpicking and lyrics with influences from folk, blues, roots, country and classical music.
His journey began at a young age through formal training and tutelage which laid a solid foundation for music theory. He continues to leverage this foundation with self-development and has honed his intrinsic aptitude for entertainment through numerous live performances (both as part of a band and as a solo artist), playing in festivals, lounges and cafés in the country.
Ade’s sound is unique and eclectic, as evidenced by audiences’ comparisons to Passenger in guitar fingerpicking, Tallest Man on Earth in lyricism, Jack Johnson in melodic compositions and Tracy Chapman in vocal timbre. With Ade’s music, you can expect “…a solid collection of feel-good friendly acoustic guitar-driven tracks…with solid hooks and quirky lyrics amid beautiful finger-picked guitar…” – Jammerzine
TOM LONG steps away from Manchester heroes, EASTER to display some of his plaintive guitar skills. More though than his obvious affinity for the instrument, the most striking aspect of his work, remains a deeply searching lyrical sensibility, always longing, always compassionate.
NINA FELLOWS is a singer-songwriter of a different bent, playing acoustic guitar, but with the sensibilities of early Cocteau Twins and PJ Harvey. She’s become a real favourite at The Peer Hat and has been successfully persuaded to step beyond the open mic night, to The Black Stage itself.
