Mama Feet (Brazil), TV Face, Gateway Shrugs, Cable Temple
MAMA FEET, or Mama for the closest friends, isn’t just a band, its a feeling, an energy reflected in songs, photos, videos and everything that surrounds this first, and pink, album. It’s called, “Brazilian Democracy” (2016), a double album (the same one recorded both in Portuguese and English). It took so long that the band didn’t know how to play it when finally came out.
Mama is from Brazil (Rio de Janeiro) and has the brothers Fey e Mylo Samp on vocals and guitars, Tynho Cpo. Grande on bass and the beautiful Pedryta Araruama on drums. The former drummer recorded half the album, Tommy Lee Dick, is missing since the last recording session. The other songs were recorded by Fey and proudly edited by Pro Tools.
It may all be a big fat lie, but its true that the record was produced by the own band at Fey’s Garage Studio, their studio. Its an old garage transformed after a crazy trip to USA to buy everything they needed to capture their craziness as songs. They almost got arrested on their way back home by federal customs. This trauma gave birth do the song “Pesadelo Fiscal” (one exclusive song of Portuguese album, it means “Tax Nightmare”.
