Lebanese-French duo TELEFERIK draw their inspiration from 70s to 90s rock that they blend with dabkeh and electronic beats to create a dancy garage pop sound that’s toured the world for the past seven years, from Paris to Seoul.

Eliz Murad plays bass and sings in three languages over Arno Vincendeau’s guitar riffs. After their first independent album Lune Electric (2015), they just released Blood Orange Sirup, mastered in LA with the contribution of dabkeh keyboardists Kenzi Bourras (from Acid Arab, Rachid Taha) and Rizan Said (from Omar Souleyman). Sanguine and humane, the new songs evoke urgent themes from ecological and migrant crises to intersectional issues and Sapphic love.

ACADEMIC PEOPLE WATCHERS are seeking to make anthropology for the many, not the few. From watching people to being watched, they provide a musical experience that will delve you into a world where you will question whether a human is in actual fact an elk. You will then wonder whether the Brazilian sunset is a necessary endeavor, before eventually realising that a perfume kit has enough agency to publicly expose your innate desire to become a nose. With a line-up comprised of instruments ranging from Persian santur to a thunderdrum, your feet will truly struggle to hold onto their socks in anticipation for the release of their album later in the year after your observations this night.
